How are your puppies raised? All of our puppies are raised in a family environment. They live in a heated/cooled room from the time they are born. After they have their first round of vaccinations at 6 weeks, they can come out on the grass to play. All of our puppies are up to date on worming and vaccinations. They are around our 5 kids daily and are used to being played with and snuggled! They are introduced to safe dogs starting at 4 weeks old. We raise all of our puppies on Puppy Culture protocols, a program designed to improve neurological and social responses. It is a wonderful program, and we have been blown away at the results we have seen during this formative first 8 weeks of your puppy's life! For more information, please visit their website, www.puppyculture.com. We work hard with our puppies on basic skills, such as sit, come, walking on the leash, learning not to nip, etc..., but the biggest thing we teach them is to give us their attention. Though we don't guarantee that your puppy will come to your home perfectly trained, we hope to give them a great start! Our dogs~adults and puppies~ are a part of our family, and we do all we can to help them be happy and healthy. They are given plenty of room to run, love to take walks, and adore rides to town!
Do you ship? We prefer to meet all of our puppy families in person, however, we understand that this is not always possible. Shipping typically runs between $400-$500. A less expensive option, and one that we feel is better for the puppy, is for you to fly in and pick your puppy up. Puppies under 20 pounds can fly home free in-cabin. We have had several families fly in to either Omaha, Nebraska or Kansas City, Missouri. We meet them at the airport, and they turn around and fly home. That way puppy can be with you and you can attend to their needs and comfort them-and we get to meet our new family! If this is the option you desire, but are unable to fly for any reason, a similar option would be to hire a pet nanny to fly the puppy to you. You would then meet them at the airport of your choosing to get your puppy.
Can I come visit your dogs? We do not meet people at our house due to safety concerns--both for our family and for our dogs. There are illnesses and diseases that can be brought in unknowingly onto our property, which can be deadly to tiny puppies. The more foot traffic, the higher risk of this happening. We try to be very careful to provide the safest place we can for all of our pets. Unfortunately, we have had experiences regarding safety on both the animal and the people side of this question. We have nothing to hide, but instead have a whole lot to protect! If you have questions about this, we would be more than happy to discuss it with you. If you would like to meet available puppies or get to know us, we will work to make that happen by setting up a meeting in a nearby public place.

I really want a puppy from this litter, but am unable to take them home right at 8 weeks. Can you help? We would be more than happy to help with that! We want your experience bringing your new puppy home to be pleasant, and timing is crucial. Puppies are ready for their new homes at 8 weeks old, and we feel that it is crucial for bonding purposes to get them into your home as close to that as at all possible. We ask that you make plans to get your puppy by the time they are 9 weeks old. From time to time we have had families that couldn't pick their puppy up during that time frame. We are happy to consider helping you make the timing work for your situation if our schedule allows. However, a lot of time and work goes into keeping your puppy safe, clean and healthy! We therefore charge a $20 per day boarding fee starting at 9 weeks of age, plus any shots the puppy would need in that time.
What comes with my puppy? Your puppy will go home with the following: a certified state health certificate from our vet, up to date on shots and worming, health records, blanket that smells like mama and siblings, a small bag of food, a collar and leash (if needed), and lots of love!
These are some of the most frequent questions we are asked. If your questions were not addressed here please feel free to ask us!
